A before, with stock bumper removed (gotta get a new sticker from TLCA as old one is now covered up :crybaby: ), installed bumper (tire carrier to be installed this weekend - hopefully) and a pic of my solution to the trailer hitch wiring harness. Had to use the Hoppy converter. Harness side of the Kaymar color code matched to the Hoppy as did the output side for a std 7-pin plug. The enclosure is a simple Draw-Tite box I picked up at a local trailer place. After the fact search of internet could have saved $4, but local place has been good with me and helpful and that more than makes up the difference as many of us know.

Cool you got the dual pivot, right on. Looks sweet! did you have any problems with the install?

No problems at all. Install instructions are not very good. Only issue I had was that I should have put the mud guard back on BEFORE installing the bumper. The one screw on the outside of the rear flare won't fit between the bumper and the flare if you try afterward. Instructions say on some models to put this on and others not. Not knowing which I had as they only refer to Standard and RV models (Aussie speak for I don't know what) I didn't. Only error I made. Had to cut the screw off about 1/4 inch to fit it on. 8mm spacers bwtewere tight but not an issue. Fit and finish is very good. I had my son help me lift it into position on the rear crossmember, but beyond that, it's a one person job. Wiring harness instructions are nonexistent! Once you stare at it for awhile it begins to make sense. The plugs are under the truck, not inside the rear quarter panel as I'd presumed, but once I found the correct plugs it was easy.

Cool, How much would you say that thing weighs? Did the extra weight drop your rear a noticable amount?

My 15 year old son and I had absolutely no problem lifting it. My guess is 60-80 pounds. I've got Airlift airbags in my rear OME medium duty springs. I've noticed no sag to the rear of the LC or ride quality (other rear's we won't talk about). The tire carrier I'd guess is another 30-40 pounds. I didn't take any before or after measurements on the stance of the rear. The hitch mount is much higher off the ground than the OEM hitch. If anyone is looking for a used OEM Valley industry hitch - it's yours for pick up or cost of freight from SoCal.

Biff - it's all steel and sits right on top of the LC's meaty enough rear cross member. Doubt if anyone wants to rear end me now that anyone but them would come out damaged! Can't wait to get the tire carrier on this weekend. Correct size taps are arriving via UPS today. :D Christo's bumper is likely more beefy, but as you know, I had to have a hitch mount and I don't have the fab skills of Mr. Cdan!

Now you need to get the front ARB to make it complete.

Would love it, but...may be awhile. Front end does look 'out of place' now. Most of my extra $$$ goes to the golf habit, not the cruiser habit.

Fortunately for me I only have one habit. After all the money I've spent on this rig, I'm going to have to send my son to a Jr. college instead of Harvard :)

Brent your Cruiser is kept cleaner than any I can think of. It is refreshing to see a 12 year old "new" car....:D

Yes, i agree. I am kinda ashamed at how i have let my rig digress. With the warm weather coming i plan on giving her the love and care she deserves; but lets not forget her main purpose in life, a trail rig/people hauler/grocery go-get-er/road trips/towing..........pretty much all purpose! :grinpimp:

Thanks Dan! I've had people that don't know cruisers 'get blown away' when I tell them she's a '94 with 143K on the odo and not an '04.

Does it count if I'm on my second set of floor mats? Gotta love that Zaino and easy SoCal weather on the exterior.
