the kaymar is gorgous. the arb is ugly as sin. i would only get the kaymar or hold out for a slee.

I don't think anyone has mentioned it thus far. I believe that Slee Off Road did a one-off bumper for the guy pictured in this thread 200 rear bumper

found another link, this should be the same one
NICE 200!

Appears both Kaymar and ARB are completely missing any rear recovery points?

Odd.... ARB included very nice ones on my TJ Wrangler bumper...

Looks like I'll need to do some modifications before installation :(

Well you could always use a D Shackle in the rear hitch as a recovery point without issues. Plus I don't know where the factory recovery points are on a Jeep but I know they must have many.

The recovery points on the LC200 are right below the bumper behind the rear tires. No need to put them on the bumper, their welded to the frame.

There are also two up front.

Hmm... Not much Jeep love here is there?

Actually the recovery points were optional. I fitted mine for pulling those long-wheelbase rigs off the dune peaks. :D

Just checked on the bosses rig... I don't get mine for a while yet.

Those recovery points are a good half-foot along the chassis... good if they're accessible but if you're stuck in a valley in the dunes they could be quite hard to get to...

Think it would be nice to have some good tabs on the bumper just like the one they make for TJ's.

A couple years ago, Australian law called for bumpers to have no protruding hard edges on their front bumpers. I wonder if that is now the case for the rear?

Has there been a rise in people whipping up the handbrake and doing a 180 spin to mow down pedestrians? :D

I still like the ARB better. If you look at where the factory hitch is, the stock bumper is about the same. While it would be nice to get a greater departure angle, I think the hitch is the limiting factor. If the bumper starts somewhere near the rear tire and meets with the hitch, that's about as good as it's going to get.

I really don't see how the ARB could be almost 2" worse than stock.

My only real gripe is the gap between the top of the bumper and the lower hatch door. I don't get why they didn't design it straight across like the Kaymar. I am torn between the swing arms on the Kaymar which are attached through the lower reflectors, vs. ARB's idea of having part of the bumper swing out. I like how it is concealed, though.

Any one have any pictures of what the "camp lights" and "reverse lights" look like? They are on the options list.

Here's a large picture of the Deluxe bar (which holds tire/jerry cans):

And the version which will not:

ARB still can't make adequate recovery points for Land Cruisers. Jeep tabs look well thought out whereas the LC's look like they could easily be ripped out.

Yeah, on that white one they look really puny. What does the Kaymar have?

I don't think they have anything special. Maybe those 'T' thingies, not sure..

Personally I will just add a d-shakle the the hitch and use that if I have to.

On the sides I just use the sliders.

I think you are referring to using a hi-lift. The OP on this topic was referring to having to use a yank strap or something.

I do agree though that a D-shackle in the hitch would work well.

those arent recovery points, those are tie down points for the trailer chains. You hook each chain into those little tabs,

Alright, that would make sense. They were WAY too small to yank a vehicle from!
