Hi Folks,

New on this forum. Done the search on this forum on shops what are good at LX. Seems like Duggy 's every Where. BTW, call Duggys, and the person didn't know what globe or accumulators means and needed to bring the car to take a look. Wont give me a quote for labor to replace globes. Though did give me a quote of ~500usd to replace differential and transfer case oil (similar to Lexus dear).

Looking forward to any experiences you had with a shop in west Houston/ Katy area that has reasonably good techs and pricing to replace globes/accumulators on an LX.

thanks in advance!

I'm looking for the same as well ... did visit Teq and met with Jesus. Its really out of the way and you have to drop off as he has no area to wait. Uber out and uber back. He's very straight forward so thats great ... he knows the key issues/concerns with the LX/LC so looks over them quickly. My biggest problem is Katy to his location ... just the uber back and forth is about 200.

If you find any luck getting a knowledgeable LX show in our area ... do share.

Reach out to Toyos Limited (if he hasn't retired). He's right around I10 and Beltway 8 and is extremely knowledgeable with all sorts of Toyota platforms. I haven't had him do any work, but was able to talk to him for about an hour after I had mine detailed next door. He easily pointed out and looked at all the common problem areas on my LX while we were talking. Only downside is he normally runs about a 2-3 week backlog so it will be a little difficult getting in. Worth a shot at least.

I had a little bit of work done on mine at Duggy's when I first bought the LX and they did a fine job, just expensive. I've since just moved to doing all the work myself since I can't stop buying new parts lol. If it helps, globes and AHC service is pretty easy if you're willing to do the work.

FWIW, my brother used to take his LX to Westside Lexus for service including AHC.

I take my LC to Clear Choice Lexus....they are good and will follow thru on the various request I have for them. They have two locations; one in The Woodlands and another (the OG one) near 59/Westpark Toll.
