Well is the plan to go down and help this weekend still on?

I need to get packed and final directions etc.

Thanks Brian

As far as I know, we're still on. I'll be there Saturday morning.

Yeah, I need directions too. It's probably on their website.

The directions are on their website for sure. I'm pretty sure Randy said they were not allowing any puppy dawgs on the new property fyi, but double check with him. Basically heading south on 87 towards Mason, you turn right on Hwy 29 West at the flashing yellow light north of town.
From website:
From Brady, Texas:
Take Hwy 87S/Hwy 377 to Mason (approx 27 miles);

Before entering town, turn right (West) at the intersection of Hwy 377/Hwy 29 (the yellow blinking light);

Travel approximately 4.1 miles to the split of Hwy 377 (Junction) and Hwy 29 (Menard);

Veer right and stay on Hwy 29 (towards Menard) for approximately 1.1 miles;

The K-2 entrance will be on the left side of the road at 1.1 miles

Yahoo, can't wait for the event in 2 weeks!

Well that kinda puts a big problem on the whole plan now.

My dogs are good and can be on a leash at all times. I have no option for kenneling them, or anyone to take care of them.

So will that make them ok?

Sorry bout not being on here more but just so busy tring to get this thing going. Everyday till after dark for past two weeks. The rainy weather has put us to Crunch time. We are ready to put up the trusses and tin on the pavillion. It should go pretty fast and you should have some time to look around hopefully. You need to bring a drill ,nail apron if you got them,gloves and a couple of ladders but we will have some so doesn't really matter. also I thought the rules were up on the website but see they are not as of this morning. The no pet rule was one set by the land owner so we must abide by it. He also stays on the property so it will be inforced. Sorry. Also no ATV's and motor bikes. Most of them don't affect us but that one does. the directions are on the site. If you need direction help help call me or Shain. 325-347-2520 is my cell.
Randy

THATS GREAT..... Makes life easier & don't then have random dogs pissing on tents or waking folks up in the morning barking!

Perfect. Since you're so happy 'bout the no-dog deal you can take my place runnin' the raffle. :meh:

Folks, this rule should have been made clear long before now. :rolleyes:

Whoever lives in Rowlett, Tx that I mailed my check to needs to send it back to me. I'll load up my dogs and head to Clayton. :cool:

Sent the rule changes to our web person on January 20th, 5 days after we took possession. I did not go to the site and check that the rules were posted. Sorry for any problems this might have created. If the LSLC won't refund your money send me a e-mail I will give you the money myself. Kowboy my friend you will be missed.

Well that counts me out for coming down to help on the pavilion, campground etc.

I'll try to figure out what to do with the dogs for K2 week. And that may leave me out for that weekend as well, I don't know yet.

I haven't sent in my payment yet, when do you need it by (via paypal)?

As far as the dogs running loose pissing on tents mooching food and early morning barking.
I totally understand those that are happy about that. There are always those who don't respect others (two legged an four legged) in all sorts of ways.
And I know 100% that it wasn't my dogs nor has it ever been my dogs, because they spent most of the time on the leash, in my cruiser or in the camper as well. In respect for all the other people around me.

Hope all that show up to help have fun, I would have.

It definitely would have been nice for this rule to have been posted way earlier.

Will the vets in your area not board pets for a few days? Do it every time we go on vacation. Works quite nice.

Later,

Yes, there are at least 2 places in Bonham that board animals

Most of you know I am a huge dog lover myself......but it ain't a deal breaker.

:rolleyes::rolleyes:

For liability reasons and because he doesn't want loose dogs chasing the cattle....you can't have dogs on the property.

Find a friendly neighbor kid who wants to make $20 for the weekend would be my suggestion....I had three dogs, so I know how this may sit with some, but it isnt our rule

I've got two dogs. I have a friend close by that usually watches them for me or we have a kennel that we take them to. Just part of owning dogs.

Shain said the guy with the property across the street from the park has a bunch of empty pens and we half-joked about renting them out for dogs. With a little more pre-planning, we might have been able to do something like that.
