most was that all of my hangars had rusted out and my exhaust was sitting on my driveshaft. I don't know how long this had been like that, but fixing that solved part of my "diesel" noise I had been getting, it is still prominent but not as much. The new exhaust did open up my engine a little, it seems to stay in gear a little longer enabling me to stay in the torque a little longer and merge somewhat better in traffice. Not much faster, but still noticeable enough to comment on. BTW, muffler shop said I had a leak in the cats (they also rattle internally), I had a cat go bad in another vehicle and it caused the car to emit some nasty fumes, so far this has not been the problem in my LC, I noticed a few on the forum are catless, I am in south texas and no smog police around. SO it is possible to cut them out and not have it affect the sensors, Sorry, my rides a 92 LC.
