Just picked up a fairly clean 2015 GX. I have previously owned 3 5 lugs, an 83 4wd and an 85 4Runner. I had attempted to order a 21 4Runner but the wait was going to be longer than I was willing, so looked at alternatives. Once I drove the GX I was sold.

Long term plans are for rock rails, high clearance bumpers, winch, rack, lockers and lift.

I have 2 Huskies and they absolutely love it, so much more space than my JK Rubicon, and way more appropriate for the amount of time I spend in the dirt.

It will make it's first trip to Denver over Labor Day and then up to Superior National Forrest and Gun Flint Trail in late September. It has Yokohama HT tires so not going to be very ambitious on what kind of trails it goes on until it is a little better suited.

Welcome to the money pit err, forum!
If you have not already and considering this is your first GX, may I suggest you get a cup of your favorite hot beverage (or adult beverage) and peruse through some of the following sticky posts found on the home page:

Thanks for the links, I appreciate it.

I am a bit of a nerd, so I have already been checking out all the resources.

My main focus this fall will be getting the frame coated with fluid-film and taking care of anything that needs done, so when I get my bonus in the spring I can pay it down a little bit and start getting some steel on it, so it's a little more protected for the trail.
