Yesterday I picked up a 97 40th edition but the power locks on the passenger side(both doors) do not work. I am able to work them manually, but power is a no go. Both drivers side doors and the hatch work ok. This is with the internal switches and with the keyless remote. I read the faq on cleaning the contacts and followed it. It did not help my problem. Any advice on what I need to check next?

Have you determined if power is getting to the lock mechanism?

No I haven't. I pulled the front passenger door panel today to look for the point where power ties in but I was pressed for time and couldn't find much. Is there one line that feeds power to both door locks but nothing else?

there is on a '96LX

contact CDan about getting a FSM (Factory service manual) and EWD (electric wiring diagram) for your year

you can also get them online from Toyotas web site for #10 and a lot of work

if you need this info right now I can post up the page from the 96LX but it is hard to say if it will apply to your truck

Sounds promising. I will talk to my parents about the FSM and such as an early Christmas presant.

Have them get me some sliders while you're at it, oh, and some beer too.

And....Welcome to the forum.
