So, I purchased this with the suspension, roof rack, etc. already done. My first big question is regarding the wheels. I have been hunting different wheels for it. I get confused, why some wheels say they fit only a Tundra and not a Sequoia? Aren't those Tundra wheels on it now?

Also being the tires are brand new and 18s I was thinking I'd stick with 18s. But trying to figure out the wanted backspacing for the rig in at a minimum 18x9 wheels.

I think it has a lift, no idea amount of lift, brand etc. Only that it does have Bilstein shocks on it. A TRD skid plate up front as well.

I'm looking forward to some help on it.

For the most part, backspacing is irrelevant because offset is what's going to determine where on the contact patch the steering axis intersects. AKA, scrub radius.

wheel-size.com will tell you what your acceptable offset range is and other useful wheel measurements. Compare yours with a Tundra on there and see for yourself.

Tundras have a weird-assed 5 bolt pattern and Toyota in their infinite wisdom decided on this
for a short period of time. So some models of Tundra are 5 bolt and then others are 6 bolt. If you
have 5 bolt Tundra / Sequoia they fit. That factory 5 bolt will be 18x8 +60 offset. You can run up to
285/70R18 on that wheel. They offered an 18” or a 20” wheel. Lots of guys decide on better looking
20” but for smooth and offroad they go 18”. You can go 17” but finding a 5 bolt is problematic.
You can go to -25 offset if you want the wheels to stick out a bit, but they will be outside the fender.
That’s a very popular Tundra wheel. You could try roughing the cast grey and paint it black.
I’ve seen a few who have done that and it looks better, more offroad, less city.
If you want real help or just not happy with the wheels. Try Tundras.com and they have a continuous
Marketplace for everything. I’ve found the people on that forum are knowledgeable and
mostly when they sell stuff they want it gone, prices are good. So if you want wheels
go there. Good luck. I’ve got a 2010 RCSB with a 5.7. Also I’ve got a ‘07 Tundra SR5 4.7
for 3 yrs so I’ve learned a bit. I’m on there too if you have any questions I’ll try to help.

BTW, that colour is wicked, it ain’t green but it’ll do!

285/70r18 is what I have. I like the 18", that's the size I went with on our Excursion as well. The wife is wanting a wider meaner look, so I'm willing to oblige her. I'm okay with a small bit outside the fender, I just don't want the massive outside poke I am seeing some guys running.

I am looking for a lighter colored wheel to run with the dark color of the rig, and it seems everyone local runs black moto metal or fuels so that is that as well.

My wife was looking at Sequoia's and Tahoe's when she called me and said, can you come look at one on a lot, it's purple.. My first thought was, hell no, but I'll come look. It's alot like a black cherry. The color, condition, and upgrades the prior owner did to it sold me on it.

The wife is liking these wheels. They are 18x9 with 20mm offset.

9" wide with 20 offest would be good. You can run a 285/70R18 which is 34.8" and 11.4" wide, pretty much the fit
for those wheels. Tundras.com has a giant photo filled thread with pics of trucks with wheels and most are
tire/wheel dimensions labelled. Helps. I don't like any 'poke' unless I have a flare to cover it. I will run that tire
on stock 18x8 with 60 offset, a bit inside but keeps rocks and mud from the paint. But I'm an old man compared
to target audience now.

Never seen that color before - very cool! I'm partial to the wheels on it now, but those Fuel ones look good. Bronze finish wheels might look good on that exterior color as well

Yeah, I've been eyeing bronze for it as well. Just had it aligned today at a friends shop, she was needing it. He told me it has a Bilstein leveling kit on it. I knew it had Bilstein shocks just didn't know what else. Showed me it, pretty simple deal. Guess it's a 3" lift in the front and 1" in the rear.
