Worked..... I have hundreds of pics of Big Bend that I could post if I could figure out where and how.

Tent is fine by me....just let me know so I know what to pack. My family's place is available if needed. People could pitch tents around it and we could use the kitchen/bathrooms if needed. It really makes no difference to me. I have never taken the trails in the National Park, so that would be new to me.

Either way.....I'm easy;)....

Chris, the offer of the cabins sounds nice and is very generous, but frankly I would love the opportunity to roam around all day and see as much as humanly possible...

We could also do the cabins one day and tent camp the others. Either way is fine. Maybe we could do a day in the Terlingua backcountry and a day (or two) in the park. I'm jazzed about doing this trip. Beer always tastes better out west.

word. no problem

Does anyone have a date in mind? I'd like to nail down a weekend asap. Thanks.

Brett,

There does not seem to be too much interest in going, so it may just be you and me. 19th through 22nd is fine with me or we can re-schedule if someone else wants to go. I'm flexible.

That's fine with me. I may be able to find a few buddies and/or Land Cruiser people in San Antonio. I think the TTR and TTORA forums had a few people that indicated they wanted to go. I can't keep up with all the different forums so I tend to monitor the mud forum the most. I'm still good for that weekend. Let's make it a "GO".

Can't make the Big Bend Trip :(

Damn, bad timing for me, I will be in Mexico for business. :crybaby:
Have fun and post up pics!

Hmmm.... I could spend that tax refund on the credit card or I could buy 100+ gallons of gas. :D

Thinking...

Go for the gas.... you'll have more fun that way.....

I could pull you half way and you could spend half on the credit card. Then charge that amount on beer for the trip. This is a good idea.

When do you plan on getting there? I'm considering driving the 40 down, and if I do I may stop at my in-laws in San Angelo - then drive in the rest of the way the next day. I just need to see how many days off I need to take.

I guess that's totally up to you. I'm leaving Wednesday night and driving through. We can always meet thursday some time at the park.

Big Bend Approaching

OK, I rented The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada; I'm officially ready to head out to Big Bend and Terlingua.
