After leaving my 99 under the TEMPORARY care of a relative, and then having my arm twisted to sell it to them after they drove it for 2 months, I am again a LC owner.

Picked up a 2000 cream puff, 72K for $17K. Not a fab deal, but the condition and records were unbelievable. It has spent it's entire life in the garage. I thought I had to have the factory rear locker (98/99), but relented on that requirement due to a general lack of used LCs for sale. I am of course concerned with the potential for transmission headache, but that seems rare at less than 4%...and who knows if the methodology here is all that accurate. There seems to be enough people approaching 200K on an original transmission that can debunk the fear.

Let's all HOPE & CHANGE that gas prices go down....

Congrats on the new purchase!

Oh, and of course the obligatory reminder to remove the running boards.

Now let's see some pics!

Congrats on re-acquiring a hundy.

I'd like to hear more about how your relatives convinced you to let them buy it. Were they that excited to have one after the extended test drive?

^^^ x2 on the pics! Although, I'll say it again...... I like the factory running board look and they serve a fine purpose for kids/older adults climbing in and out. I may be the only one here who likes them.

If I never took my truck offroad, I would have left them on for sure. I like the rear deflector too, even the 06-07 whale tails. Call me a rebel.
