I own a set of toyota rims I plan on using for winter tires. My friend 99toyota tacoma came stock with the same rims. My problem is the center caps sit almost flush with the rim and I am worried the dust cap will need some clearance.
So I noticed the rims on 93 to like 98 Land Cruisers were the same or very similure and just seemed to have a center cap that stood about an inch proud of the rim.
On my stock 91-92 rims the machining for the center caps in the center of the rims goes down about a fourth of the way down the lug nut areas. On both the 93 LC as well as my rims the machining for the center cap went about half way down the lug nut area, so my 91-92 center caps wont fit.
Will the center caps from the 93 and up LC fit the rims from the 99 tacoma. I can get numbers off the rim, if I am asking a (we need to see it )question.
Both rims are 15 by 7 or 8 I forget
with six lug 5 and 1/2 bolt pattern
Thanks
Steven

The 99 Tacoma rims are 15x7 inch rims where as the 93 LandCruiser rims are 16x8 inch rims. The lug pattern should be the same. I'll check tonight to see if there is a remote possibility that the Cruiser center caps will fit the Tacoma wheels. I seriously doubt it, but you never know.

I just tried the 97 Land Cruiser center cap on a 99 Tacoma wheel and what do you know, they kinda fit. I bet I could make them stay if I used a rubber mallot. The thing is though it doesn't look so great. The 97 center cap pretty much sits on top of the wheel. So it probably can be done, but I don't recommend it unless you really like the look.

Hey Thanks for trying
My choses were the white steely like I run on my Taco, they rust real fast, and they don't come with center caps.
Or a set of toyota rims that I found, they do have center caps and just the front I don't think will fit over the dust cap. O well the aluminum won't rust
Thanks again
Steven
