My wife got me a jump start box at Costco from Cat. About $75. I am debating whether to keep it or get something smaller that will fit in the toolbox. I don't need to compressor since I carry my Viair 400P with me all the time in my 100. I would also bring this jump box on my boat for the just-in-case situations also.

Should I keep it, or get a lithium jump starter, something like this? This is a prime day deal on a 1000Amp.
I like the size of the little one, but I'm not sure how they perform.

Thoughts?

I purchased the Gb40 when it was on sale a few months ago after having a dead battery in my 470. Started it no problem with a dead battery. Charged it up and left in the rig and haven't thought about it. This weekend a buddies 99 Cherokee 4.0 was dead while in the back country. Used the pack 4 seperate times without issue. Note his optima must have dropped a cell as it was at 10 volts each time, but very impressed with the pack.

I have one of those geniusboost starters. Works great. Has a decent light on it. Can charge USB devices.
I seem to jump start somebody else every other week with it.

I use this Harbor Freight one. Charged it up a few weeks ago, and used it to start my Tiguan twice in the span of twenty minutes and it was still at full charge.

Lithium Ion Jump Starter and Power Pack

I have not needed to use it on my LC, but there are plenty of YouTube videos with people starting V8 engineers with it just fine.

I went ahead and pulled the trigger on the GB40. It was on a prime day deal for $79, which seems hard to beat. A few weeks ago, I left my lights on while setting up camp for about 15 minutes and it zapped my battery. And naturally I left my jumper cables on the boat which I didn't have with me. Never again! Thanks for the input, guys.

I bought the GB40 and it has worked great...I don't drive my Hundy on a regular basis and this saves me from being stranded. Also bought one for my daughter to keep in her car...It holds a charge for a long time, and will give you multiple jumps off one charge.

I carry a Micro-Start XP-10 in the LC and the smaller XP-1 is in the wife’s CRV. Tacoma has jumper cables, hahaha

Not the cheapest thing but great reviews and real world results.

I carry this. Jumpbox, air compressor, light, usb ports, car charger ports. Has saved me once or twice so far and will always keep it with me. I usually charge it once every few months to keep it topped up but has performed flawlessly for me. It also comes with a charger lead to charge it in your car while driving.

On sale right now too!
