Ok folks..... change in plans. Last post on this page (#30) has the details but the skinny is were now having the meeting in Burlington NC at S4Cruisers house.

Still on saturday July 11th, which is looking to be hot so come prepared.

We will meet at noon at 2321 West Gray Gables drive in Burlington NC 27215 and shortly after make a run for lunch after we have a headcount and bring it back for the group.

Map of Burlington, NC by MapQuest

roughly it goes as:

I-40
exit 143-- alamance rd/Hwy. 62-- turn south
less than one mile on the Right

(approaching the turn you will go through a curve, see a stone house and some constructions barrels. The turn will be right before the barrels and before Grand Oaks Blvd.)

It's women's field hockey, you know it's big up there! :) I'm down with dogs and a game, and Saturday is good for me!

Saturday is fine here.... so is it a baseball team or a field hockey team??

well here on the east coast we do things a little diferent, it's a little of both....

The Grasshoppers are a minor league baseball team, Greensboro built a new downtown ball park about 4 years ago and its really a cool place with an awesome atmosphere. Im not a very big baseball fan but I love going to to the games there cause its just a great place to hang out. I thought if we decided to go with Sat. we could do the meeting and eat at the house and then go to the game which starts at 7. Either day is fine with me I just hope we get a good turn out, there is plenty of room so bring alot of cruisers. The pool is ready so anybody that wants to bring the kids to go swimming feel free, the more the merrier. We should be able to get a good group picture but somebody is going to have to bring me a cruiser to stand in front of for the group shot:grinpimp: Dogs are welcome. What is the general concensus on food there are a couple of great local BBQ joints close by so we can do that or grill out.

Looks like we could have two there... but no way we're driving both.

I'm going to try and make it, I get home from Germany Thursday night and may need a little recovery time for these old bones.................

I can try to make it Saturday depending on when we start. We're going to a concert in Raleigh that night. Sunday would work better, but I don't want to rock the boat. :)

I just checked online and ticket prices are 7-9 dollars. It looks like the Sat. date may win out so if I can get a head count of those who want to go to the game after the meeting and food I will go to the ballpark on Monday and go ahead and pick up enough tickets for the group. How does everyone feel about the BBQ idea, they just opened up a new Country BBQ just up the road from the house and I have eaten there a few times and the food is awesome.

Guys, please post up your your intentions if you have not yet done so, so that the coordinators can plan for an appropriate head count.

Well, we may be headed to DC to pick up Emma's truck. Count us as a no and we'll bring food if we can make it.

Unfortunately I can't make it. I'm leaving Sunday for a week in the OBX.

Andrea and I will be there, most likely a no go on the game though.

Heather, Lily and I will be there. Stephen, if I bring Nalu, will there be a fenced in yard to leave him, or do I need to bring his kennel? We're down with the ball game, too.
