I'm in. Al, lets get that truck ready for Carolina Beach and Logan's Run. I'll help where I can, which is basically standing around wise cracking, but I'll be there.

I " Might " be able to make this. I have been burning the candle from both ends right now. Working 6 and 7 days a week right now with my business, and turning jobs down at the same time cause there is not enough days in the week. 8 hours yesterday, and 3 today out there.

I know the weekend prior i have a commitment close to there.

Where is Quinton's farm? I can ask now that I have a running/driving truck.....

Yep by the white water center. Directions will be pm out closer to the time

Hamom will occur in west Charlotte, near the US National Whitewater Center. The address and directions will be PM to those who mention on this thread interest in atttending.

The workshop is a 28 X 40 pole barn with plenty of lights, cement floor, and outlets (120 & 220). Two spare bedrooms available for travelers and plenty of space to camp if you want to enjoy the HEAT.

The exact work to occur on my HZJ5 75 is at the moment up in the air. The temperature gauge is acting up (drive 45 minutes on the hwy at 55 to 60 mph and then notice the gauge rises to the top of the white flag and then falls a few minute later). Checked fluids all normal. Checked hoses which to my knowledge appear fine. Radiator, hoses, and thermostat were replaced last year. I have read MUD threads and research suggest it might be caused by electrical issue. I just fixed the wiring issue with the starter.

Might take apart the consol, clean connections, and see if that makes a difference or just replace the factory temperature gauge with aftermarket. Suggestions for aftermarket temp gauge? If not install a new wiring harness and then toss the old harness into a bonfire.

If I fix that issue before HAMOM, then it will either be Install Dual Battery system. In either case it will involve wires. Martin & Brian thank you for both giving me ideas and advice on dual batter systems. I will be in touch next week with a few more questions.

Ok going to be getting a list together of those that can make it.

Confirmed:
Al
Quinton
Mike
Brian (told me he was coming :D)

Maybe
Darin
Jim

Lets get some more on this and I may be moved to provide beer aswell ;)

Getting a new/used booster and MC shipped to me next week

Anyone know how to bench bleed a MC..... that's one i've never actually done and want to make sure I do it right the first time.

There are a few different ways to do it, but the way i do it is to mount it up all the way minus the brake lines in the vehicle, then bleed it on the truck prior to putting on the brake lines. After that put the brake lines on and bleed the air out of the brake lines for awhile.

Yup, that definitely works. We have to make some lines that screw into the brakes fittings and plunge into the fluid in the reservoir. You then pump until there is no more bubbles. That's how you know all the air is out of the master.

Then hook up the brake lines and bleed the rest of the system!

I'm a definite maybe.

I have a decent sized fan (you might have seen it at the Jocassee trip last year) that I can bring to get the air moving around in the barn as I suspect it will be hot.

i'm a maybe... i can bring my power bleeder, it should make bleeding averything easier. anyone want to carpool?
