Guys--

Since the July and August runs have not been filled yet I gots me an idea. why dont we hook up with the UC/UcLc/ONSC and whomever else want to show for a casual camping and Elk site seeing trip. We can make it family friendly.

Adam (SmkyMtn) suggested this location, Elevation 5280' so it should still be cool enough at night for good camping and just right during the day for short sleeves and cool .

Then we can scoot over to Cataloochee for some Elk Viewing

I would be interested if the weather is nice...

There's a group campground in Cataloochee too; you have to reserve well in advance.
Although it is tent only, the rangers will allow my Conqueror; they said it was "cool".

So you can do other things in Cataloochee besides snowboard? Sounds good. I don't know what "Casual camping" is but if it means sleeping in my truck is ok, then I'm good. That elk thing sounds intriguing. Are they bugling that time o' year?
