the 23rd is the only day i have available to be at the shop for a tech day.

if it is not a good day for everyone then we could see if someone else is available.

i will leave the details of what is gonna be done to Mr. Sourbeer.

I'll be in Myrtle Beach.

More likely you'll be crawling down I-95 at 8 mph with 250,000 of your closest friends.....

So it looks like me, Sam, Steve, and Vince?

Right now they are calling for enough heat on Saturday for our project to self-combust. I have a suggestion, but it completely depends upon Vince. Start at 6 a.m., cut out at 11 a.m.?

Brutal I know, but I think the heat will be worse. Not sure I want to work in an un-air-conditioned shop when the temperature is pushing 100.

6am?????

I can get up early but its up to the scewball, you scared of a little sweat ?

Guys -

:frown:Sorry to say it but I can't make it either.

I made that trip to IPOR last Saturday and spent so much money I've been sleeping in the dog house ever since....and I don't even have a dog. :whoops:

Actually, I'm already committed for Saturday but you guys have at it. We really need to find a spot in a corner where we can organize our stuff and be out of the way of the commerical operations. Not sure if that's feasible for Saturday. The raffle truck was temporarily pushed outside to make room for a rush job. <aybe we can help the IPOR crew shuffle things around and get our pile organized. IF we have the space, we can pull the top, doors and remaining salvagable parts off the donor truck in prep for a body shop Tech Day (I still need to entice Ryan into it since he is the resident expert in that area). We might also loosen the body mount bolts on the donor truck so we can make quick work of pulling the tub when ready to do some rust repair, but can still move it round by pushing on the tub.

I managed to drag the tranny/t-case from the donor truck up to Sir John in Silver Spring. :steer: Got to oggle his 55 project while I was there. I am so jealous of guys with shops to work in. :wrench::wrench:

Does anyone want to pry the winch off the donor truck and see if you can get it running? :D The socket in the control box is pulled loose, and I have the control cable and socket (it's stuck on the cable). Let me know if you take it and we'll work something out to get the cable to you.

Also, we will need some warning as to when you guys are ready to tackle an axle, because we'll need time to get the truck situated where we can pull the axle and not have to move the truck for awhile. :hhmm:

I doubt the donor truck rear is worth messing with, but the disc brake knuckles, birfs, hubs, etc, are probably good on the donor truck so someone can pull those as well. Assuming we don't need them for the raffle truck, we will probably sell them to raise funds for paint and such so sing out if you know of a prospective buyer (assuming they are usable).

If anyone wants to take a body part home to work on, just let me know who takes what so I won't have a stroke next time I go down and see parts missing.

Have fun and a few :beer::beer: might cool things off for ya.

PS - Leave early and eat b-fast in F-burg rather than at CB. You will want to get off of I-95 before 8am. Trust me on this....:bang::bang::bang:

All capable wrenches...well at least one of you is anyways:D

With the fans going it isn't too bad...makes it tolerable enough to watch Vince work anyway.:p

If we start at 0600 I may be able to make it.

I'll bring you to work with me. You can spend 10 hrs. on a metal roof. Just like being in an easybake oven. :hillbilly:

Bring your Sweat Rags!!!

I can't do the early morning thing.....sorry.

It won't kill you guys to sweat a bit.

for the next two days, spend your lunch break outside. that will help you with Sat.

bring lots of water and beer! beer is good for hydration, right?

Tom, they let an old fart on the roof!!............just doesn't seem safe......

It may not be safe but it explains a lot about Tom.
