Last weekend I changed valve cover gasket and when I got done I had misfire on number 4, no time to troubleshoot so I ordered a set of plug wires and hoped for the best.
This morning I installed plug wires (#4 ohmed fine which wasn’t a good sign), still misfire, back probed the ecu and sure enough no voltage from number 4
Removed the throttle body again and found injector wire broke off flush with connector, when I removed the connector I thought man this looks familiar, turns out I had a new connector, a dozen or so pins and rubbers in my service truck , JD uses Denso fuel components on a lot of there engines and one common failure is the connector on the suction control valve which regulates the fuel so I keep everything to replace it in stock.
Replaced the connector , put it all back together and it works great , I could provide part numbers if anyone is interested

While you’re at it, I’d shield and cover that bundle of exposed wires right by the EGR before you’ve got issues with those getting roasted.

Makes sense that there would be some commonality considering JD partially sources from Yanmar

Plus 100! Electric tape the wires tight then exhaust wrap it and then Aluminum exhaust tape on top of that!!! Try AC insulated aluminum tape however space is limited around the harness.

Often that type of harness fail is from the harness allowed to flop around, it should be supported and not by the connectors. The plastic clips age and break, can find, replace them or just use zip ties. This is one of the first inspections/repairs we do on "new" rigs.

Ha yeah the only reason they are exposed like that is because that was the first place I looked for a broken wire after searching this forum, I wrapped the harness in old fire hose then wired a piece of heat shield over it, I was glad to see that the wiring in there was not brittle at all
