Hi all, just thought I'd share the perfect screwdriver for removing the bottom screw on the idle air control valve on the 1FZ-FE. The Hozan D-555-300. I know it says Phllips on the listing, but it was confirmed by Hozan to be JIS. I personally removed my IACV with this, and didn't even look close to chewing the threads. It's super light weight and long, allowing a near perfect line of sight onto the bolt head. If you want to save yourself time from removing the throttlebody, this is your best bet. P.s mine was actually super clean, but cleaned it anyway.

Cheers,
Pete

Cool. Thanks for sharing this.

I use a similar shape Wiha 300mm long shaft bit driver with Motion Pro JIS cross head bits and it works well for these screws.

I like the bits because I can use them in other length driver handles or with a ratchet, plus I can replace them if they get worn, and I can use one of the many dozens of 1/4" shank bits of other shapes that I already own, if for any reason I need an extra long driver for a one-off project.

It also works well on the throttle position sensor screws.

Here's a JIS set from Vessel that I grabbed for general use.
