yeah, he took about a day to get back with me via email.

if it takes longer he might just be out of town or something like that, i wouldn't worry much

He cannot come to the phone right now, he is busy rebuilding my carb :flipoff2:

FWIW I think it took him a day to get back to me, but I never had a problem with him not returning my calls/email.

Hey heavytlc, or anybody else that has had their carbs rebuilt by Jim, how much does he charge? It's obvious from peoples happiness with his work he is well worth the money, but I need to do my exhaust manifold, and while doing that, I'd like to ship my carb out. Will it break the bank?

His carb rebuilds go for about $300. I have been very pleased with mine, well worth the $$. Mark of Mark's offroad also rebuilds them, and having wheeled a bit with Mark, would trust him to do mine anytime. He is on this board.

Better to call Mark from 1-6 PST. (818) 953-923

Is the last # in that phone number optional?

Jim was busy this weekend helping me prep my ProRally car. He is in the shop this week playing catch up. My experience is that the best way to get his attention is with dessert or other sweets.

Jim has rebuilt three Cruiser carbs for me and I can't imagine driving my sixty without one. His work is worth the wait.

Cheers,

Brett
