Jerry Nicholes plate adapter to 203

It is late Friday night and I do not have this info readily available. Rather than waiting for Monday to try and get a hold of Jerry... does anyone here know the thickness of the plate style adapter that he has AA make for him that fits between the H41/H42/H55F trannies and the NP203 gear reduction box?

Just that plate, do not care about the one on the back.

A pic will work too if you have that handy.

Is it possible to mount a 203 to a H42? IMO that would be pretty killer for a LC. 420/465s suck to shift and if you had a 203/4spd case doubler, you wouldn't miss the super low 1st tranny gear so much. that would be the way to go for me.. If you have more info, post it up

Hi All:

Yes, it is possible to bolt-up one of these "203" doubler kits to the version of the H42 that came in the FJ60 (and 1981 - 84 FJ40s.)

Jerry Nichols sells a kit that AA makes for him as propriety item. It lets you put a 19 spline H41/42/55F in front of a 203 and (if you chose) a 19 spline split case behind it.

I am getting my ducks in a row to put a ranger OD in front of an H41 to replace the SM465 in my '40.

Why not just an H55 then the 203? Wouldn't need the Ranger OD.

With the Ranger you can split every gear....cannot pull that off with the five speed.
