I dont care if you dont care. Im going to be like an annoying dad that shows you pictures of his kids.
For those who dont know what an Ironman is...
2.4 miles swim down the Ohio River.
112 miles on the bike through KY hills.
26.2 miles run (full marathon)
140.6 total mile, all back to back non-stop.
We were in Louisville, it was 96 degrees plus!
Her time was 14:47:27.
Its amazing to watch! Her brother did one in 07 and I watched that one as well. Many of the racers that finished needed help to just stand. The guy who finished before Jenn didnt know his own name. Jenn also saw a guy go into a seizure in front of her on the run. The only traffic in the area was the constant string of ambulances.
Jenn felt great after the swim, and started to feel the pain around mile 80 on the bike but was still ok. She also felt great going into the run. around mile 14 on the run she hit "the wall" pretty bad and had stomach problems among other problems, and didnt feel better until about mile 18. After that she picked up the pace again and was good until finish. There were about 12 friends and family down there with us following her and trying to catch her where we could along the course.
I have pics and video ill upload later.
Oh and her brother did it as well in 11:02:00 Which is a damn good time I think he was 146 out of 3300!
You can see her splits and official times at Ironman.com, go to the louisville link....athlete tracker....her bib number was 204
