100 Series JDM front grille added, please check Post #2 above.

THANKS!

Mot :)

Do you still have a 100 series Ladder?

Hey Mot,

How much are the 80 headlights and would they be plug and play on a 91 hdj81?

I need to fix the reversed (for canada) cutoff before I get pulled over.

Thanks.

I do, but I don't!

I have moved to the US and I was not able to bring many parts with me, so it's still in Japan.

I will try to bring most, if not all of the parts when I go back there, but at this time I do not know when that is going to be!

SORRY!!

You best bet is either to go with OEM by getting either a new set from CDan/Onur (American Toyota) or get them used on Mud (People who have done headlight conversions) or cruiserparts.net

GOOD LUCK!!!

But i have the h4 h1 headlights and not the 9000 whatever bulbs. How does that work.

Most of the e-bay specials were made for the JDM design with the H4/H1 combo, either with the projector headlights you see (black or chrome) or the DEPO (and its knock-offs) headlights as well, with the correct (LHD) light patterns.

Not sure if they have the SAE/DOT markings, but at least the US guys have not reported any problems with the local law enforcements. You can do a search and re-visit the threads and see if any of these concerns have been addressed on those threads.

If you are cosidering going OEM w/o changing your harnesses, etc... then it would cost you a butt-load of money.

So, with that said (Now thinking more clearly) you can still get the US/N. American-spec headlights as I mentioned and just change the harnesses, etc... I think that info. is available from treeroot's headlight conversion thread and possibly elsewhere. That should be the cheapest solution and it "should" be legal in Canada as well.

Good luck!!

Mot

Thanks Mot but i think my coffee hasn't kicked in yet. Are you saying to get american spec lights from Cdan and convert. My harness or is there an easier plug and play way to replace my lights but keep the h type bulbs and harness i already have. I thought about depo's but heard mixed reviews about quality.

Thanks, and sorry for being dumb today.

You're not dumb!

Get the US(80/LX450) or CAD-spec (LX450) and modify your harness(es?) would be an option.

If you don't want to bother with the wiring, then your best bet is to get an aftermarket set from e-bay, etc... because it'll be plug-and-play.

I am not endorsing any of the aftermarket lights, like you said, some have had good results, meaning they met their expectations, while they didn't meet the others.

If you're into lighting like me, I would get the DEPO's and see if you're happy with them. If not, you can try converting them to/with bi-xenon projectors.

Anyway, hope this helps, but let me know if I'm even more confusing now!

Have a great day!

Mot

Can you still get some of those off road fender flares, if so, how large of a tire can you put on? I don't mind trimming he fenders.

I can't get anything for the time being since I've moved to Japan.

I have attempted to get some smaller stuff such as the seat heater switches, but I have totally screwed those that have been interested by not making a dent in getting them! :frown:

I am hoping that I might be headed to the homeland in/around October and am thinking that I might be able to get some parts ahead of time and have them shipped to my place in Japan and ship them while I'm there. But I don't really want to make promises that I can't keep. :frown:

LMK if you're still looking, say around September or so and I'll see how realistic it might be for me to get them and ship them over here.

THANKS!

JDM license relocator

Just checking, and I know it's a long shot but .....you wouldn't happen to have any of those JDM license plate relocators left over? If you did I would take one of those. Can they be gotten any other way, maybe CDan? Ebay Oz? Thanks,
E

I don't think I have any more, but will check when I get back to Utah this weekend and will let you know if I have anymore.

Thanks!

Hey Mot, do you have any Toyota Fog Lights left? Checked your link but not sure what you may have.

I see that you've moved...but did you ever have a line on the 80 series OEM rear tire carrier (or know where I could get one)? I saw you discussing them in another thread.
