Has anyone with a JDM HJ61 tackled this yet, and come up with a mounting location for an aftermarket filter/separator? The engine bay is tight already.

Thanks

Greg,

I personally don't believe that water seperators work. Well I don't think they work well enough. When I had my Duramax I did post seperator fuel analysis and found that there was too much water in the fuel. This was with an after market Racor fuel filter/seperator.

Use a good emulsyfing additive. It encapulates the water and sends it through your fuel system. I am not sure how or why this works, but it does... With the additive I could find no water in my fuel.

A better addition to a seperator is the addition of a 2micron CAT filter. Clean fuel is key to a healthy injection system.

Here is a pic for comparison...

My HJ-60 have the factory ( well the replacement for ) water separatur under inner chasis, co-driverside, under rear sit. Letme found a picture of this.
