JDM Astar LED Back-up lights... wish I bought these sooner.

Just popped in the JDM Alstar lights in my 2001 LX and they are awesome--what a glorious upgrade for 20 bucks. Because the LEDs are much longer than the OEM halogens, I had to put the LEDs part way into the housing and then plug them in. The wires were tethered too tightly to get the LEDs in if I plugged them in outside the housing. No big deal, just figured I'd contribute however minimally.

Quite easy. You just pop off the carpet covering the inside of the rear hatch and they are right there. The carpet is held on by several snaps running around the perimeter. Just be gentle and use a trim tool as it’s easy to tear the snaps out of the cardboard material that the carpet is attached to.

Keep in mind that on the earlier LX's the backup lights were integrated into the taillights and the 2003+ models have them around the license plates. I think some people were unhappy with the 03+ setup with these bulbs. I have an '01 and they are still rockin' two-and-a-half years later.

Just got them delivered so hopefully throwing them in my 2000 LX tonight I’ll post pictures once done. Then the BFGs come in next week...

That took all of 10 minutes and damn it’s a huge improvement. Pictures are during the day cause the LX is going into the shop for some work tonight. But I’ll update with evening pictures.
