I think I narrowed down my tube bender choice to the two. I'd love a Baileigh RDB-050 but price is prohibitive at this time. Between the JD2 model 32 and Pro Tool 105HD what differences should I be concerned with. I'm pretty much a noob at this time. I used a bender once in the past in a welding class but have no clue what kind it was. Other than manual/horizontal in configuration.

My initial project will be working with some smaller material probably 3/4" square or round. But down the road I will definitely work with larger probably up to 2" round. Need room to grow :)

Been reading threads for the last few days but is seems the model 32 is pretty new. Not much feedback on it. And I'm not familiar with the lingo regarding the different parts of the banders. So many of the threads are "Greek" to me.

For those wondering what Baileigh's prices are, here is a copy of the PM he sent me.

Thank you for your interest in our new tube bender. The RDB-050 tube bender makes the other benders out there look like baby toys. There are many advantages to the RDB-50 over other manual benders on the market.

The highest capacity of any manual bender on the market
3 bending speeds (4,8 or 12 degrees per pull)
Massive 1" Thick bending plates for massive capacity
180 degrees in one shot, you do not need to stop every 40 degrees and re-pin or start the bend over
2 1/2" OD capacity
Aluminum bronze bushings at all pivot points for a long service life
Heat treated pins
Anti-spring back lever
Fast and easy hook arm inserts for different size tube, no U straps to mess with
Replaceable aluminum bronze counter bend die insert
Affordable die sets are available in 90 or 180 degrees
Best bend quality on the market
Made in the USA
Ship UPS in 3 boxes
Here is a quote and a link to the machine specs. Please read over the specs of the machine, watch the video and you will quickly see why this bender is better than any manual bender on the market. We have a ton of dies available for this bender. They are available in 90 and 180 degrees. Here are some common die prices (these are 90 degree) but remember, we have a ton of them to choose from. These are just a few. Call me if you have any questions.

Check out the link below to see how beefy this bender is.

I really like the Baileigh bender but want a portable type, my fab area is in front of RV parking and fixing it in a area away from there would interfere with bending so a portable system worked for me. I had a fixed JD2 system and liked it but want a auto system.

What about this little thing? It's only 10" x 10" x 30", that's portable and it's cheap.

3rd Generation Hydraulic Round Tubing Bender Assembly

Large radius bends for common size tube, most folks want a tighter radius for the bend on cages.
Thats why Pro Tools, JMR and the others have some many dies.

I'd kinda like a price on the 050 with two sets of of dies (1 1/2" & 2") to 78738

Thanks -
