Cant you run National Geographic topo's? Or Delorme?

For the iPad, I mostly use Motion-X GPS HD. It allows me to download map sets for later use. I have a few wide area map sets always loaded which provide reasonable resolution topos and roads, but for planned adventures I like download max resolution topos covering the planned route, and then some. For this run, the topo set was 1GB! This is mostly just for s***s and grins.

That's one I use too. But I get tired of the 24-hours of download time it takes to get those HR files. And then I've been out with it and ended up outside the sphere of my map...that really pisses me off.

Someone has to bring an app to market for us iPad users where we can preload the HR files from DVD or even flash without relying upon wifi/cell. That's the only reason I bought the darn thing...for off-road nav'ing.

I've spoken to Benchmark and they are supposed to have their topo iPad app out this spring; no details to offer though by them. I hope they will have map files to locally upload...I'd pay the extra for it for sure.

Saw Rusty rollin back to his house in the hood today in his 60.
Looked to be a bit muddy????

Muddy? A tad. Pics and video as soon as I get caught up.

Good call discouraging me from the puddle guys, the rear axle is far from water tight at the moment.

Muddy? A tad.

The mud pit was a lot more fun than the pucker slide coming down that hill!

I've uploaded a few to Flickr! (Note: Guest pass will expire in a week or so. And holler if you'd like higher quality versions of any of these.)

BTW, it was good that we turned around at the mud pit... we surely would have had to turn around later. That was on Skedaddle Ranch Rd, which at quick look runs through to Stacy, CA. However, on careful look back home, the road appears to disappears half way in between before picking back up again... and the sat imagery suggests that if the disappearing part is actually passible, its pretty rough. Maybe something which can be scouted out for a future run. Teach you guys to let me lead and/or point the way!

Dan you had mentioned a place that does great Paint work, can't remember the name, and a place that fills spray cans

Those two 45's have been "spoken for" since I lived out there in '92. IIRC the purchaser also bought another vehicle, picked that up on a trailer and loaded any spare parts off the 45's that were worth anything. Then planned on coming back for the husks he left. Apparently the gas is worth more than the scrap value...

Where LC's go to die...:frown:

I can't make out the rear one, but the front one is a medium duty truck cab, something like an International, definitely not a cruiser.

I thought the two "45's" were in better shape, I have heard about them for years. I also thought they were up on the Buffalo Meadows Ranch. Jeremy (24hours) will know for sure.

Nice pictures everyone.

LINK->Concours is IMHO the best (and most expensive) auto body shop in town. I've used them for insurance work and they do a stellar job.

LINK->Re-Neva fills aerosol cans with color matched paint.

Looks like I missed out on a good one. We just had too many places to go this weekend.

I should have just done the ride with you. Our trip to Eldorado wasn't what we were expecting. We spent entirely too much time sitting still and not nearly enough time wheeling.

Looks like you guys had a lot of fun. Wish I could have made that one being that was fairly close to Ferntucky. Thanks for sharing the pictures.

How many rigs showed up?
