Hi Everyone!
I'm J.C., and after gaining a ton of knowledge reading through posts here (thanks everybody!), figure it is time to contribute. Although the purpose of this thread is more to just introduce myself/LC200, get to know folks and log very minor modifications and any unusual maintenance stuff.
This is my wife's daily, 2017 Blue Onyx Pearl over Black, shipped from West to East Coast via CarMax (great experience), around August of 2021 with about 38k miles. It arrived with the stock Dunlop Grandtrek tires, and more importantly a fully functioning AC Recirculation door.
Last October the idea was for this to be a "just turned over 50K miles, good excuse to make a thread" thread...but, being a born procrastinator along with a 2.5 y.o. kid and we're at more like the 54k mile mark!
After a few miles on the Grandtrek's, we swapped them out for a set of stock sized Michelin Defender LTX MS 285/60/R18, which were fresh in the picture above. Again, many thanks to the "So I think the Michelin Defender..." thread for helping with that decision, because they are great on road. I'll update this post in 10 years or so when my wife let's me get this thing properly dirty how they did off road.
Next, the puzzlingly terrible cupholders were replaced with the BH3D 1st Gen replacement w/ large & small openings. I don't have a picture, but a vast improvement over the original.
Then, our first family trim required a little more space in the rear, so we deleted the 3rd Row, and did it properly.
Picked up the Non-3rd Row all weather rear mat from the HE straight from my local dealer.
Then, we needed to cover the holes in the fender well plastic. I found a dude in AU (possibly on here, but can't remember where) that makes a few versions of this cover:
This '17 definitely left the factory with the old radiator design, so we'll be keeping an eye out for "the crack" as the miles pile up.
I think that covers all of the adjustments we've made so far.
They only thing I'm sure of to come will be an OEM Level.
Anyways, everybody keep being awesome.
