I went down to help setup about 2:00, but I didn't get out on the trails before I came back home. They should be fine, less rain than here. The parking lot is not muddy, small puddle up by Dan's driveway, which is usually there, no water along the shoulders on the highway. A lot of people were already there when I arrived setting up campsites. Probably 15 or so. Trailers can only be parked to the south where they were last year. I will head back in the morning. I do have an air compressor with me if any need air. Also there a quick shop a couple of miles south that has free air.

MIOBI Memorial Day Run Report.

Mud, rain, cold, mud, stuck, mud, stuck, mud, cold. :frown::crybaby::frown:

I spent an hour on the trails. Stuck twice, left once (while stuck) by group of redneck losers. IH8MUD! (and street tires, and no lift, and ......)

Ran into Larry as he was leaving, Brent left before he got there, and spent two hours on the trails w/ Dingman. (the only bright spot of the day. Thanks Ding.) By the time I got there at 10:00 on saturday, the parking area was so slick that you slid sideways while barely moving at all.

Lots of extra slimy, greasy, deeply rutted, aweful mud. :bang:

Get the picture..... (that truck had 42s or 44s on it.)

Dingman reporting in~! Well, not really since I don't have my account typed up yet but I'm hoping to get started on that tonight.

Bill is correct, Friday night it started raining and tho it let up before dawn, it was a brief respite. Started again around dawn and rained steadily until about 11 AM or so. I started down to the trails (I was first, no tracks at all) around 9 AM with a couple of other rigs.

The whole place was a muddy mess. Worse than last year's memorial day event. I couldn't have asked for a better environment. My rig is set up for moderate mud and I didn't get stuck once all weekend despite pulling out (literally) dozens of rigs.

I heard of a couple of people stuck where others went driving by without stopping to help. I can promise you that that sort of thing is not the norm at MIOBI. I can't speak for the people who drove by, but I can speak for many, many MIOBI members who spent hours and hours pulling others out of the muck. We also made sure no one was left on the trials each and every day.

It was a blast and I can't wait to get back down there.

Oh, and I broke zero parts tho I think my headgasket is leaking due to overheating in specific situations. It started with one high RPM climb (between 5-6K for about a min and half straight) and I had to baby it the rest of the trip. But it was OK if I didn't hammer it hard.

I'll post more links as they come.
