"Hey big guy, you a golfer" - Roger Dorn
Hot it is! We got into Atlanta around midnight EST last night. We left LA at 7 am PST on sat morn. We only stopped for fuel, food, and feces. Going through the desert my Acura temp gauge recorded 117 degrees as the highest outside temp(somewhere in AZ). Both cars did great! The AC on Ms. Jackson was ice cold the whole time (I am convinced that the new blue fan clutch deserves a lot of credit for this). I don't have the temp gauge mod but my needle never budged from it normal position (I know there is a 40 or 50 degree gap or so before it will move, but it never moved so I am happy). I haven't added up receipts yet but we did well on gas (Acura around 30 MPG, Ms. Jackson around 14 while both were very heavily loaded). We did get pulled over twice in 4hrs in the great state of Texas. No tickets
D) though as we had a police officer with us who was able to schmooze the state patrol (which was tough to do btw...those Texas Patrol men are some tight wads in tight pants
) When we got out of Texas, we gave it a big
. We hade to have seen at least 50 cops in Texas over the 800 or so miles through that huge monstrosity. I bet we only saw 20 cops combined for the rest of the trip. In a gas station in west Alabama a large group of ghetto crotch rocket bikers pulls in to fuel up. One is sitting on his bike waiting and I hear his utter: "Damn that is pimp
as s***.....oh snap it even has a snorkel!" I laughed out load and then complimented him on his enormous 1350 cc street bike. I thought it was cool though for Ms. Jackson to get some good old "Dirty South" love. Sorry to Dave to have hijacked.......the 92 degrees that I woke up to this morning with 87 percent HUMIDITY

:whoops:
is brutal........oh btw way it is supposed to get up to 107 this afternoon and I will not be going outside unless I have to. I am going to miss you guys but I will see you again someday. If you are ever in Atlanta look me up.
