it's getting hot

It's been unseasonably warm the past few weeks in SW Virginia and we're really needing the A/C to work well. However, back during the winter, the selector switches for the various vent directions stopped working. I can push the different buttons all I want but it's stuck on the heat/defrost selection.

This maybe an easy fix but I don't even know where to start.

Any ideas?

Have you been poking around in there? I have seen wires get in the way.

also check ground point # "ID" located in the drivers kick pannel behind the interior fuse box
