Remember how I got stuck on my land in the snow 2 years ago and Mud members came to my rescue 5 days later and anti-climatically we all drove out?

I went snow wheeling today, but not on purpose...

Details there, with a plug for our cabin blog. Can't host the holiday party there this year, maybe next year.

The worst part on our property was the crusty snow once it had been warm and then froze to a sheen on top. It was nice having a white Christmas.

Where did ya pick up the chains?

depending on how thick, you'd break through with chains i think.

i got them here: http://www.tirechain.com/TRUCK-SUV-CHAINS.HTM

They didn't have the heavy duty *cable* ones in 37x12.5, which seem lighter than chains, so i went for the heavy duty link ones. Them sumb1tches are *heavy*. The 3 camlocks, worked great. Although due to their bulk, when backing up down hill with things compressing, they did rub the part of the fender flare on the rear passenger doors (thump, thump, thump, thump)

pick your tire size, then they will show you what they got.

I'll bet you could not wipe the smile off of your face when you made it to pavement. Looks like it is going to be a fun project for the family over the years.

it was just awesome to have 'bite' I went back a 2nd time all the way to loan my neighbor my come-along since he was staying later and didn't have chains. my wife was like "you're going back in!?!" me: these are a game cha(i)nger, pun intended.

putting them on sucks. normal chains are a pita. these being north of 40 pounds each and catching on the kobby's of the KM2's makes them a special challenge.
