Anyone got one they can part with? It is an air bypass valve, that opens and closes a port that feeds air into the injection rail from the smog pump. I'm not sure which years are compatible, but I think that the 76-78 operated the same. Originally it was a 77, there is a "5E17" stamp on top of the unit next to a circled ND. I am going to need one soon, so I don't melt my injection rail. I will need it shipped to 93614. Thank you all.

I have a couple but they are off of 3FEs. They work the same as it is just a valve that opens and closes with vacuum. However the brackets and look wouldn't be stock. $15 plus shipping.

can you post a pic?

Hey simon, I got some off a 60, it's worth a try!

Thank You, Dave!
I believe the 60 series abv has a few too many air and vacuum ports. My system only requires an in and out and a single vacuum signal to operate. Are you in town today?

yeah, the rest of this week......

Steel loooking....:frown:

I have one from a 78 FJ55. I would need to know how to test it first though.

From the FSM:

1) Start engine
2) Disconnect vacuum sensing hose from the ABV and reconnect it.
3) Check to see that compressed air comes temporarily from by-pass hole at ABV.

Thank you, Bogus, for the correct testing procedure. I think I can still smell the smoke from my brain when I came up w/ the one I posted!

Abv found: Pending transit and testing. Thank you all for input.
