Isuzu Pickup with '90s Hilux Body

I ran into something this week that I've never seen before. A 2wd Isuzu pickup, with a 4-cyl diesel engine, all within the same exact bed and body as my double cab Toyota LN106 pickup. The truck is LHD from Guatemala. It appears to be a mashup of Toyota and Isuzu parts.

I am going to look at the vehicle this week and will possibly be picking it up to replace the bed on my LN106. From all the pictures, it looks EXACTLY the same as the J-hook bed which was wrecked on my truck.

Does anyone have information on Isuzu/Toyota crossover parts within late 90s early 2000s?

So I went and looked at the truck over the weekend. Never seen anything like it. Its a poverty spec 90s 2wd Hilux, with toyota interior, body, axles, mated to an Isuzu 4cyl diesel engine. Truck has been repainted, modified, the original VIN badge and plate removed, and replaced with a new one.

The manufacturer is a chinese company called "ZX". The truck was badged as a "ZX Tiger Pickup". Apparently, they produced these vehicles under some kind of licensing agreement with Toyota in the early 2000s. I talked at length with the owner, his english was pretty good. I may end up buying it. More info to come if I do.

You can see the Guatemala stamp- glass has all been replaced, rear window not the original 4-panel either.

It's clapped out but not terrible for a South American truck. LHD double cab hilux body... not common to come across.

Also, if I pick it up for the right price, I might sell the rest of the truck. I mostly want the bed.

I have a wrecked J-hook bed on my LN106. It was hit by a local teenager last year. You won't believe how difficult those short 5' J-hook beds are to find.

I had an '87 Isuzu with the 2.2 diesel. Those things get 35 mpg. Great little motor!
