Hi guys anyone that can help me? I’ve got a 1998 land cruiser 4.2 turbo diesel 105 series when the little security symbol near the clock doesn’t flash my car will not stop. This happens randomly but when the light is flashing the car starts and drives perfectly fine it can happen at the most days or times. We could be working grateful 6 to 7 weeks and then all of a sudden I’ll be parked somewhere and go start it and Doesn’t start

I have had some issues with blinkers not turning on or not flashing properly. Aircon randomly came on at times but itself every single mechanic I’ve taken to say something different. Something fuel pump some said sensor some cable barrel done a whole new cable that didn’t fix the issue someone saying Body control module but I haven’t changed that one yet. Just wanna get someone to see if anyone else’s car has done that.

sounds like an issue with the immobilizer system. there's a transponder that picks up the key signal, that's the easiest thing to check. the rest of the system is built into the ECU, so you may have to pull that and have it re-soldered ?
