Exactly, I already tore into the tcase at the beginning of the year, won't be any harder then that.
Not harder just need the pullers, I used a plate to head the bearings on with a torch and as soon as I would see the bearing grease start to smoke grab the bearing and drop it on the shaft. The worst bearing is a internal small needle bearing, I have a very small snap on puller that works great. You can get away with die grinding the bearing case and breaking in half.

I did a write up on Mud many many years ago, would have to go back and read it again its been so long since I had one apart.

Thanks for the info!

I cannot find it, but it was written in 2004 and I pasted it on

Rosie the Riveter Build in 2017 on this club page.

Found the receipt. (4wheelauto)

Always wondered what happened, input shaft break? Clutch explode causing it to break? Or just bearings?
Who knows.

Date on this bill is 2006. A new h55 might have been cheaper back then.

Surprisingly the second bill for labor was only 500 bucks, which seems low, so I'm thinking the mechanic felt sorry for her.

Yeah, close to 4k in 06...crazy.

It was some place in northern BC that did the work. Just the parts from 4wheel auto.

I figured the tach sensor was a sign of something blowing up, but they probably just broke it pulling the tranny.

Those prices are correct for the input and counter shafts and terrain tamer rebuild kit. I paid the same from Toyota a 4wheel just a couple years ago when my counter shaft broke.
