Hi all,

Looking for an early 2F bellhousing. Has holes tapped in the side for frame mounting brackets on pre 1980 40’s.

I’m located in Boise, Idaho. Bonus points if it’s local!

thanks

The bellhousing metal is pretty soft so it's actually pretty easy to drill and tap the 80-84 versions if helps that broaden your search. They just don't have the clutch fork hole on driver's side that pre-74 trucks need.

I appreciate that info! I just found a thread talking about that mod. I actually have a later 2F housing like you’re describing.

My truck is a ‘72 though. Is it possible to make it work with the fork hole on the passenger side? Edit; cut a new one? Hmm.

It would be easier just to reroute the clutch hard line to the other side than cut a hole in the bellhousing. I didn't know about the drilling and taping of the bellhousing for rear mounts, that is a new one to me.

I cut a new hole in a 80-84 bellhousing (for my 1971) on my milling machine for fun. Took me about an hour but I am experienced with that sort of thing.

Thanks guys,

I think I'll close this listing and drill new holes in the bellhousing I have and reroute the cable. Appreciated as always!
