Hey, friends. Does anyone out there have a busted motorized antenna they want to get rid of? Why do I want a broken one? Well, I bought all of the bits to convert to a mast antenna, but it turns out they depend on the old antenna being there for installation, and mine was removed long before I owned the truck.

I’m also open to other suggestions. Thx.

and I just tossed 2 this past Monday....

Are you talking about the motor assembly in the fender or the actual retractable mast?
...the motor assembly. If there's one out there, I'll take it off your hands. However, I ended up using various adhesives to make my current situation work. We'll see how it does on the first visit to a car wash.

What kit are you using to convert to a static mast antenna?
I can't help you with a donation of a motorized one, however, my motorized one is broken and am thinking of switching to a static one!

I grabbed this one on Amazon.

In my case, a previous owner had added a universal aftermarket antenna that was broken off, so I had to grab the various trim pieces:
Nut
Black plastic piece that sits on the fender

I also needed to swap out the end of the antenna wire to match the male end that pushes into the back of the radio. So I picked up this piece, cut off the female end, spliced it onto the fender end of the antenna wire, and pushed it into the bottom of the antenna kit.

Finally, I ended up using a combination of silicone and superglue to piece it all together. It took a lot of patience and creativity and masking things that I didn't want to end up with adhesive on them. But it did seem to work. I would also classify the effort as "Squarely Janky" if I was the next owner and had to reverse engineer it all.
