Looking for a puller tool. Any pointers n the right direction would be appreciated.

Did you try contacting @TheForger?

I got one of his pullers last year. Works great.

Check the silver dust shield on the inside of the hub for any dents or bending. That kept my CV from protruding enough to install the C clip

Nice. Reached out, he’s not producing anymore at the moment, so looking for whatever is out there.
Any chance I could rent yours?

Mike
Ma son is spot on with checking the dust shield. Not sure what all work you did but if bearing races, seals were replaced gotta make sure everything is fully seated. If everything is properly seated, it shouldn't take a ton of force to pull the cv out and install properly sized snap ring.

If you have a couple bolts and scrap metal it's pretty quick to make a puller. Only specific bolt you need is the axle bolt M8x1.25

Shame he's not making the pullers anymore. Friend of mine has my puller at the moment so can't loan it right now, but I'll check and see if he's done with it yet. Will let you know.

I know some of the local auto stores (national chains) rent 'free loaner' tools/pullers of various types, I've used autozone before and they even will free ship the rental tools to you.
