Is TLCA to landuse what the NRA is to gun ownership?

I mean, I own some guns, but I don't think my kid's preschool teacher should be packing an assault weapon. And I like to go outside, but I'm not going to be driving up the steelhead spawning beds, throwing my Coor's Light cans out out the window. Of course that seems more like something someone in a Hummer would do, but I'd just like to know, before I throw my money down.

That's a loaded question. (re- NRA membership).

First and foremost, TLCA is a car club. We're aren't a land use organization, but we do work with many out there. We support Blue Ribbon Coalition and Tread Lightly. I don't know of any organization that promotes "driving up the steelhead spawning beds, throwing my Coor's Light cans out out the window". We support responsible uses of existing trails and we want to keep public lands open to the public. We're against land closures, and we're in favor of working with all groups to mitigate trail damage and erosion.

I'm sure there are people out there that aren't responsible, but we work with all groups as much as possible.
