Have the opportunity to get this trailer for 500$ on Friday.
Is it worth it? It's a 1952 m100
Has new wranglers with 500miles on them. Led and marine grade wire.

Missing some original stuff, but looks in good shape

Hell, the new tires and jerry cans are almost worth that all by themselves! Yes!

Ok I called him. I'm getting it to
Oreos after work. I'm gonna sell the Kerry cans anyways and use my NATO cans instead. That will offset the price a bit too. I'll eventually put the 80 series rims with some matching tires

build thread here I come!!

Yes sir. I'll post more pics when its in my possession .
How hard is it to convert the ball hitch to a pintle loop? I already have a pintle hook on my rig at the moment

500 is a steal. Ive been looking for one under a grand for a while.

Finding the pintle parts at a reasonable price is the tough part. I've been looking because I would like to use the rotating lunette originally used on trailers like these on my TrailBlazer trailer.

Your ball to pintle conversion is no issue. They make a pintle lunette combo avail from any trailer or rv supply store. Great buy on the trailer.

$500... I'd be on that like a pit bull on a bone.

Nice find for that purchase price

are you going to bubba mod it into something
it was never meant to be ?

I'll follow along... til I can't take it anymore :crybaby:

Dr.Dell HAS spoken!!

My understanding is that he wants to remove the ball coupler from the tongue and replace it with the original lunette.

I have one of the combo pintle couplers with a ball. I'm not convinced that I want to use it. My sample lunette ring does not fit it and move on it like I think that it should. For pavement it would be fine, it's the high angularity encountered off road where I don't think it will work as well as a dedicated pintle hitch. I have considered making a special ball coupler that uses this particular hitch that would have a high angular motion range.

Go to a good aftermarket lunette and a 2 inch square tube receiver on the trailer. Multiple ways to connect it work better than shackleing oneself to a single connection, The lunette is great off road albeit noisy, the standard hitch is good on road and if necessary a lock and roll is also available.

No sir. I plan on cleaning it up and using it for hauling and camping. I want to reprint it od green and do a spray on Bedliner inside. In the far future I'd love to put a roof top tent on it with some other gadgets, but I don't want to change the design or structure of it.

The original lunette assembly has the ability to rotate the ring relative to the trailer frame. I find that highly desirable.
I'm not impressed with the Lock-n-roll though supposedly there is an updated version from the one that I had. No idea if or how it might be better.
The Max Coupler, version 2, has a small issue that they're working one right now, so unless you find a ver. 1 those aren't on the market.
