For a 1986 BJ74 with 13B-T, for the A/C compressor, an aftermarket guy tells me:

"90% of them had the one in the first photo - 4 thru bolts, one port to the
rear , one to the side. - no 'ears' like the second one.

The second one also has the ports facing to the rear - it is also an "ugly" looking
thing if you like."

Is it true that Toyota had two available A/C compressors for the 1986 13B-T? I do understand that perhaps in later year versions of the 13B-T, they put in a different design compressor, but for 1986 only? Did they change it mid-year?

Help a brutha out and thank you!

Dave

I'm only showing one part number for the compressor: 88320-60170

It has the description that you have in the first instance.

4 through bolts is the one that they came with.

I have not really paid that much attention to the compressor numbers, but I think it's only one part for the 3Bs and 13BTs etc.

Nice work. Thanks for the updated parts supersession.

I have seen a lot of 13B-Ts ranging from early Red block to late Blue block versions and all of em had the same 4 thru bolt compressor. I think someone has is AC lines crossed.
