Is this suspension kit too good to be true? (1 Viewer)

less than perfect seller reviews and a few reviewers say their parts they received (not these shocks/struts) may be counterfeit parts that were made in China. Also, given how much of a pain they were to remove, I can't imagine reinstalling all that electronic damping control stuff again lol. That's a pass for me.

If you take a look at the sellers other items.... some of those are definitely fake. I wouldn't buy anything from that seller... actually, I don't buy any parts from eBay unless it's from an actual dealer or large reputable company on eBay.

If it's 1) a car part on eBay and 2) the price looks too good to be true, then it's 99.9% sure to be a fake :).

In general, I recommend avoiding buying parts off of eBay unless they are from 1) a private party seller with good feedback (i've sold spare/unused parts on eBay before), but have perfect feedback going back over 20 years) or 2) it's being sold by a legit dealer's online sales system. Sometimes the legit dealers will be based in the Middle East or Japan.

Factory rear shocks should be compressed.

Thank you gentleman. I figured they were fake, but wanted some more opinions.
This is for my wife's car which is not built. I'm trying to keep it original and comfy. Those rear shock prices though!

I think a set of Bilstein 5100 set at stock height will ride as good, if not better than, stock.

I had Bilstein 5100's on a previous Tundra. I was not a fan. Very harsh on small choppy bumps/roads.
Definitely not close to a stock Lexus ride.
