2001 Land Cruiser (not certified) w/ 41600 miles for $32,000???

Just wondering if this is a good deal.

not that we could tell with that amount of info, but seems in the reasonable range

Even if the dealership won't certify the truck, they'll probably sell you a warranty package that's basically the same thing as certification. Might be worth the extra, if there is a dealership with a good service department in your area.

Am I crazy?

I see 2000's for $20,000 (60k miles) all the time. I know I can chew them dowm 2k - 3k more here in TX they just aren't reselling too well, maybe it's the gas prices, but they just don't move on the lots.

you should buy them all and resell them in the PRK. The 2000s sell well over $25K around here. You could make a living off them.

Texas is the largest state market for new Cruisers, LX (and GX) trucks. In fact, TX is the largest SUV market, period. GM makes their Suburbans in Texas, and half of all their production is sold in state.
(I guess you could count all of those black 'burbans in Dubya's motorcade as "in state" Texas sales, couldn't ya?)

You can get the best deals on Cruisers in Texas, but those prices don't carry over to the other markets.

I think PRK = People's Republik of Kalifornia, IIRC

There might be a difference in price between a 2001 and a 2000 because the 2001 might still be under warranty, as well as available with the factory navigation system.

No s***! The best deals I have seen on most trucks are all located in Texas.

When I say all the time, well I already have 3 tanks so I'm not on the bubble so to say. I can wait 6 months if I have to ($16,500) , but the $20,000 deals are posted everytime I look at the 2 above links. The trick is to look at the $20k to $24k range and find the milage you want and then low ball them on the phone.

The rest of the time it's just driving around seeing for sale signs, usually in parking lots.

Have them put a Toyota Certified warranty on the LC and offer them $31,000 that (I think) would be a good deal.
