Im trying to convince my wife to finally get a safe car, and am considering getting her a LX570 or giving her my 200. :grinpimp: I just bought myself a new set of coilovers for my 200 and was wondering if the lx is a direct swap out to the 200?
Cars are a budgeted expense. Coilovers and fun stuff come out of my pocket.

I interpreted the question to mean "is it possible to interchange the suspensions." I think that it is. But there are differences to be dealt with. Some substantial. Brian might know how difficult that would be. You could end up with a "Philip Nolan" of a rig where neither dealer would claim it. It would yield a might fine story no doubt. In my case they would likely scribble it on my tombstone.

Lol dealers and warranty....I live in a country where once you sign for it, nothing else is covered. The reason I ask is because a lot of the coil overs from our known vendors have the same oart numbers for the lx and lc....

After re-reading the question, I may have gotten it wrong. If the OP was asking if the recently acquired coilovers and whatever could be migrated to an LX replacement---I suspect not just as snobdds said.

Maybe create a Frakenstein LC with LX suspension and I swap over my Radflos to the LX. I wonder if its doable. If not I might just get another LC, a little boring IMHO. Im a car guy: two of the same SUVs in my garage kinda just seems blah. And Ive always wanted get a toyota badged LX. (who am I kidding)

I would think som basic things would be interchangeable....but suspension...especially with eh AHC, I would not bet on it.

Id love some input as I want to buy the LX knowing that it can be done.

I wouldd think that it wouldn't be too hard to swap, but you would lose AHC and adjustable shock.

I am currently looking into getting roughly 2"-3" of lift while maintaining both. For the front the "best" solution (quotes because it isn't a very good one) is to use Tundra strut spacers, not spring spacers. For the rear, I have not looked hard enough, but most likely will have to fab a shock relocation bracket to raise where the shock attaches to the axle and fab a spacer where the spring sits on the axle.

The Land Cruiser 200 who is sold in europe and south africa - has the AHC suspension.

But i guess it makes no sence to equip an non AHC Land Cruiser with AHC - there are too many changes - better buy an AHC equipped one in europe/Sa and ship them to you.

So the answer to the question is: no

I believe it is possible, I haven't done it myself, but you can get up to B7 armoured LX570 vehicles and the AHC wont handle that additional weight. I believe the suspension is basically the same just a few wires and hydraulics connected to the shocks (not air bags like other models), need to isolate the AHC system. The armoured vehicle manufacturers would be the best people to answer your questions as they are the only ones that really require to fit aftermarket suspension. They don't share much information on the process to keep ahead of other manufacturers, most have a good relationship with Toyota if any problems arise.

Ive been offline for a while. Busy working and what not. I ended up getting my wife a regular semi used land cruiser. The LX is just too much luxury in my country. Waiting for the stock suspension to sag and then Ill upgrade to radflos.
