I have had a hankerin' to go back to Pardoes Trail for some time now! I tried calling the El Dorado USFS all day today and all I get is a busy signal. I did a search online for Pardoes Trail, but al I get is pics of peoples past trips.

Squaw Ridge is above 9000 ft. so does that mean that there is probably still snow? And if there is, is it to deep? I wanna go, I wanna go, I wanna go!!

Hmmm, I like how you think.
I drove past last week , looked pretty good but still some lingering patches.
Im looking forward to doing this trip , so if you want some company let me know.
I will call the amador ranger station as well.

Cool, I would very much like some company! I know it's not a good idea to go alone. I've been only once and it was in Sept. of 2000, so it would be great to have someone else to "cruise" up there with! I didn't know you had to call the Amador Ranger Staton, good idea. Thanks Ken!

Called the amador ranger district , they said maybe passable in two weeks.
For whats its worth thats the word.
Care to make a date and go from there?

Yeah, I would like to set a date. I need to check, I think we're gone the last weekend in July. It would be cool to get all the NorCal people together for a run.

I'm free that weekend too! I hope it's open by then. The last time I went, we did the trail, then camped at Mud Lake towards the end, then drove up 88 to do Deer Valley on Sunday to Hwy 4.

Mud Lake is close enough to Hwy 88 to just go home when finished, but I think it would be cool to camp. Does anyone have more experience on the trail than my "one time?"

WAIT!!! It looks like Andy is already planning a trip over on the other msg. board!!
