So after stumbling through my passenger side lower ball joint replacement yesterday...
My steering arm wouldn't separate from the knuckle without damaging the boot. I forgot to disconnect the wheel speed sensor wiring brackets... Over stretched them. So I pulled the sensor out out of the knuckle and some grease got on the sensor from banging on stuff... Cleaned throughly with brake cleaner.
My question: if grease got on the abs rotor ring that the wheel speed sensor reads off of it will NOT function correctly?
Assuming the cable didn't rip inside the harness I should have to just pull apart the hub and clean off that ring?
Hopefully I elaborated enough to explain the issue. Any help would be appreciated.
ABS, VSC TRAC, VSC OFF LIGHTS are on, on the dash. Code pulled says right front wheel speed sensor.
