Stock nav headunit in a 2010 GX. It will connect to iPhone X and 11 for calls but will not connect for music or other audio. We have to connect the USB in order to listen to audio through the factory headunit. The BT tab is there but it's never been selectable.

Is this how it normally works or is something wrong with our stereo?

Thanks.

Make sure to connect your phone through the media section as well. It's separate from the phone BT function for some reason.

First, what trim level do you have? Premium or Base? (basically what stereo system did your rig come with)
If you can't use BT, you can also use the 3.5 audio plug.

Make sure you're not trying to set BT up while driving down the road. Most of the configs are disabled when the car is moving.

Mine will drop the music connectivity at times and the only way for me to get it to reconnect is to restart both the phone and the vehicle. The system sucks but we all know this haha.
