Well Ken,

I lost your contact information and I figured that was the fastest way to get your attention, since that is where you hang out...:flipoff2:

I put the Chevy up for sale. Didn't want to make a big deal about it, it may not sell. Not even sure I want to sell it. And no I have no idea what I am going to do if it does.

Any reason in particular for the sale?

Good luck with whatever you and Darcie decide to do!

Off topic:

Jack, I replaced those crappy notched belts with a set of OEM and the whining noise is GONE!!!!!! You were right, all that racket from those stupid belts. wohooo!!! Truck now sounds smooth and quite.

I was sworn to secrecy, but now that the cat is out of the bag.....

Rumor has it that the Locrwln's are going hybrid.

Starting with the frame from a YJ, they are going to swap in a mid mounted Honda 4 cylinder hybrid with a CVT trans, run it through dual divorced Atlas 4 speeds, feeding Mog axles with hydro steering and a full DOM cage. The suspension will be King coil overs and 4 link front, 3 link rear.

The outer skin will be from a Holstein cow for weight savings and it's natural black and white urban camouflage. The tires will be the next generation Michelin airless composites with old school Military NDT tread pattern. The seats and interior will be diamond tuck purple and creme velour, complete with fuzzy twice dice and disco ball.

There will be no need for recovery gear, as it will be sold prior to it's 3rd wheeling trip and replaced by a stock Lexus LX470, with a Cummins swap...

Glad that worked out. Amazing how much noise aftermarket belts make on a 1FZE

At a loss of course...

Remember my motto: "Buy high, sell low."

Wow. You must really be down like me.

I thought for sure the cowhide body panels and the fuzzy dice would yield a :flipoff2::flipoff2:

You have to admit, a turbo'd Honda hybrid buggy chassis on 40's would probably bring the smile back to your face..

Don't know.

I have some ideas rattling around, but right now I'm going to focus on the things I have and see where the economy goes. If we haven't had an armed revolution and a total economic collapse by next November, I'll start actively pursuing things, unless I find a deal too good to pass up on a built buggy.

I have a frame from a Ramcharger that I just junked out and I'll have a complete running gear with a 360 TBI motor, overdrive trans and NP241 ready to go. I think I'll stick with 1/2 ton stuff for it's light weight since I want to go fast with this and be light enough I can float on snow rather than sink in. I'm shooting for a total weight around 3K lbs or less. I think if I work this right I can get it done, but the stupid drive train in a truck weighs so much without counting a cage or recovery equipment.
