Is it okay to splice the TPS wiring harness?

My current connector is completely gone, just the pins are left. I just got a used one from a member here and was wondering if it's okay to cut and solder the wires together as opposed to trying to take the pins out of the new connector. I haven't been able to remove the pins so I don't want to mess up this new connector I just got.

Are you good at soldering? If it's only a half dozen wires I'd rather splice than try to remanufacture a connector.

I'd be worried about your current pins not being able to be pushed in and held tightly in the new connector and then messing up the good pins and connector in the process. I'd recommend to solder and heat shrink the connections. After you put the corrugated loom back over it you wont be able to tell the difference.
