So I forgot to put the dust cover on one side during install so now I’m attempting to remove rear shock to install. With the Ironman shock you get a 19mm wrench on and then use a pair of vice grips to grab above it to prevent it from spinning. It’s awkward and hard to position, but it is what it is.

Well. I’ve now got the nut 95% off to the point that there is zero real estate to grab onto the top with vice grips. The only part to grab now to prevent from spinning is the shock shaft. Not ideal, but even trying to hold that with vice grips or similar is unsuccessful.

Any thoughts?
